About this notice
This notice covers the Groundwork Simulator website, operated by the Groundwork Simulator team at XYZ STUDIO, and the use of connection information for public multiplayer games. For privacy questions or requests, email support@groundworksimulator.com.
Optional website analytics with PostHog
With your consent, we use PostHog EU Cloud to understand visits to our website and clicks on our Steam and social links. Events may include the page path, time, browser and operating system, screen size, referring website and a randomly generated session identifier. URL query strings and fragments are removed before events are sent.
Analytics is off until you choose “Okay” on the analytics notice. You can keep using the website without accepting. Use “Privacy settings” in the footer at any time to turn analytics off and save your choice with “Okay”. The website works either way.
Our integration disables session recordings, automatic capture of form input and clicks, person profiles and IP-based location enrichment. It is configured not to store your IP address in analytics events. PostHog still receives network information needed to handle requests, as described in its own privacy notice.
Your consent choice is stored in your browser for up to 180 days. Analytics identifiers use session storage, which is normally cleared when the browser tab or session closes. Analytics events already sent are separate from browser storage and are retained under our PostHog project and service settings. Contact us if you have questions about retained information or wish to request deletion.

Google Analytics
Google Analytics is not currently enabled on this website. If we add it, we will update this notice and include it in the optional analytics consent controls before collecting data through it.
Website hosting
Our hosting services process technical information, such as IP addresses, requested resources and request times, to deliver the website, diagnose problems and protect it against abuse. These operational records are separate from optional PostHog analytics.
Public multiplayer and Supabase
Supabase supports multiplayer server discovery and connection in the game. When you create a public game, your public IP address and the connection information needed to reach that game may be collected and held temporarily so other players can find and join it. Joining players may receive your public server address.
This information is used for multiplayer connections, not website analytics. The intended retention is brief and tied to the public multiplayer listing. The exact expiry period and any separate provider log or backup retention have not yet been confirmed; closing a game does not guarantee that every associated log is immediately deleted.
You can choose not to host a public game. For details about the service provider, see Supabase’s privacy policy.
Your choices and requests
You can withdraw optional website analytics consent through the footer. Withdrawal stops future analytics collection but does not automatically remove previously collected events. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, or object to processing. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
